JONES LANG LONG ISLAND
March 9, 2010
Jones Lang has finally made a formal commitment to Long Island—it opened its first LI location just a few weeks ago, hiring former CB Richard Ellis execs Ray Ruiz and Marianne Dugan to lead its new temporarily-based Melville office as executive VP and VP. We met with the duo a few days ago, and they tell us that building a new office from the ground is an great opportunity. Their immediate focus is strategically growing, particularly in its financial, industrial, and capital markets groups, and they’ve already hired former CBRE associates Brian Cruz and Kyle Crennan. |
It’s the opportune time to enter the LI market, they say, as a number of landlords without representation need help turning their buildings around, and tenants have also been seeking real estate services. But JLL is no stranger to the market—it already has a considerable roster of local clients. Prior representation has been handled out of the New York City office, and they tell us that they’ll be collaborating with Jonathan Meisel and Bill Korchak, who’ve already been on the ground making deals. |
