LARGEST LEASE; MULTIFAMILY MONDAY
December 20, 2010
Before we jump into multifamily, we’d like to focus on 245 Park Ave. Only a month after its $800M refi, the office tower owned by Brookfield Office Properties is the recipient of Manhattan’s largest lease in ‘10. |
Société Générale inked a 20-year, 444k SF deal in the building, and will occupy floors 3-12 beginning in mid-2013. The agreement also provides expansion options, a dedicated reception desk, signage, and other significant rights. The bank will be relocating from 1221 Avenue of the Americas, its home for the past 20 years. Congrats to CBRE’s Lauren Crowley, Ken Meyerson, Patrick Murphy, and Craig Reicher, who repped Société Générale, with the bank’s Jerry Aversano and Mark Kaplan. Dennis Friedrich, Jeremiah Larkin, and Duncan McCuaig repped Brookfield in-house. The bank will join Major League Baseball, Rabobank, JPMorgan Chase, Ares Capital Corp, and McCarter & English as tenants. |
