LAST NIGHT AT AREW; STADIUM UPDATE
January 22, 2009
With Jack Frost nipping at our nose, a great way to warm up was AREW's wine tasting at the Teknion Showroom on 641 Sixth. |
Wine educator Ellisa Cooper opened a bottle of Albet i Noya Cava, a biodynamic (translation: beyond organic) non-vintage Spanish wine, and pours a glass for Weitzman Group's Marilyn Weitzman. It's like champagne, and says she starts all parties with bubbly to freshen the palate. |
JJ Falk Design's JJ Falk, Polo Ralph Lauren's Joann Foulke, Town Sports' Stefanie Galioto, and JJ Falk's Bob Carullo enjoy a grape escape from the hard economic times. JJ says she's working on a 100k SF Samsung service center in South Carolina. |
Creative Funding's Bruce Haber, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan's Karen Scanna, and Riemer & Braunstein's Jennifer Voci. Karen tells us she's representing the Mets in second bond financing for Citi Field. (Side note: your reporter abstained from wine to be sure she remembered to put the "c" in Stroock, unlike Tuesday's edition. Mea culpa.) |
Last night was just a pre-game for Stalco's Jason Weingarten, with Alexander Wolf & Son's Tina Marshall and Ted Moudis Associates'Chris Savoglou. His firm is throwing a kick-off party this Friday for the opening of their new Islandia, Long Island office—a 10k SF industrial conversion. |
AREW prez/Moynihan Station Venture VP Jennifer McCool with MPL Systems' Fritz Rey and BBH Solutions' Layne Frank, hopes the tasting will be an annual event. |
