LAST NIGHT AT 44 W. 28th; EE&K It Out
July 30, 2009
Looking for new digs? Last night, we hit up Stellar Management’s 44 W. 28th St., where space is being marketed by CB Richard Ellis’Kerry Powers, Paul Amrich, and Patrice Hayden. |
Two 11.6k-SF floors are available: the second and 17th, the latter which has been demolished and a new HVAC system put in place. The space boasts skylights (perfect for watching last night’s amazing storm), and the top-floor tenant can also design a 2k-SF personal rooftop terrace. Patrice says they’re marketing it at $42 PSF, including full TIA and a free rent package. All may apply, but they envision a more creative tenant with an open floor plan, in line with the neighborhood. |
Look who we found: CBRE president of US brokerage Chris Ludeman and New York tri-state region chair John Powers. John tells us he’s been very active in the charity Right To Dream, which helps underprivileged children in Africa through sports and education. Next week, he’s traveling to Manchester, UK for the Nike Manchester United Premier Cup, where Right To Dream is competing as a finalist in U-15 soccer (whoops, we mean football). |
Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Christine Traina and Anita Grossberg flank Adams & Co.’s Joey Friedman. Christine says she’s working harder on both the landlord and tenant sides, “doing the real estate hustle.” (She’ll have to teach us; we hope polyester business suits are involved.) She just closed on a retail space at 315 W. 39th and has several loft exclusives nearby, including 78 and 210 Fifth Ave. |
