LAST NIGHT AT CCIM
Last night, Bisnow stopped by Tavern on the Green, where the CCIM New York Metro Chapter held its first '09 informational and networking sessions for new, seasoned, and prospective members.

CCIM's Edward Bury, Asset Preservation's Pamela Michaels, and chapter prez Paul Fetscher of Great American Brokerage. Pamela, freshly back from a joint Palm Beach-Vegas vacation, is analyzing distressed deals with 1031 in mind. Paul was recently awarded two exclusive assignments: finding sites for Muscle Maker Grill in the metro area, and marketing 50k SF of retail space near Vernon-Jackson in Long Island City. (Next time you see him, ask him if he's an expert in real estate. We won't give away his punch line.)

SBW Management's Sheryl Johnson and Winnie Morgan (left and second-to-right) with Goldblatt Associates' mom-and-daughter team of Leslie and Charlotte Goldblatt. The Goldblatts focus on what they call "requirement real estate"—places you'll need no matter the economy, like supermarkets, drug stores—and nursing homes(they're currently working on a site with SBW). Association board member Charlotte was also the first woman in New England to ever receive the CCIM designation.

RJ Design Group's Robert Justo, Jumeirah Essex Houses' Elida Jacobsen Justo, and Herrick's Patrick Dussol. Elida tells us she's working with a consortium of women execs to market and sell distressed assets nationally and internationally. Well, that's all we could get out of her—she said they're not making an official announcement until March. But remember that you heard it in Bisnow.

Greiner-Maltz's Brendan Burke, Scott Lebwohl, Peter Moreo, Ira Sherman, and Ryan Maltz are busy relocating industrial companies from Manhattan to Long Island City to help them take advantage of NYC's Relocation and Employment Assistance Program. After work, some play on a Thursday-night hockey team, while Ryan faux jams to the Smashing Pumpkins and The Offspring with his new Rock Band 2 game.

Marson Contracting's Eric Ehasz and David Reyes with TW Group New York's Hillman Lam. Eric and David tell us their firm was just awarded the $14M expansion of the Weeksville Heritage Center in Brooklyn, which will start in three months. Hillman's an avid runner who participated in the last NYC Marathon, but has a long way to reach Paul Fetscher's combined 76 New York and Boston runs—that's one short of 2,000 miles!

Broadway Capital's Kathleen D'Agostino, with Sterling National Bank's Al Snyder and Fitapelli & Schaffer's Joseph Fitapelli, has found her escape in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga. Her teenage daughter introduced her to the first book, which she stayed up all night reading; she just finished the entire series. Hmm, the only vampire we've read about recently is Bernie Madoff.

Prudential Douglas Elliman's Alphonses Heraghty, Coldwell Banker Matherson's Peter Musso, and Axxis Real Estate's Michael Hagen discuss game plans. They tell us they're taking the time to focus on education and embrace the latest technologies to help them through the tough real estate market, which they suspect will last through the end of '10. Let us know the tips you find along the way.
