LAST NIGHT'S HAIMS AND IBEX PARTIES
December 12, 2008
We were on hand last night to celebrate four decades of Jerome Haims Realty's real estate appraisal and consulting business, which Jerry Haims (center) founded in 1968. Since then, the firm been involved with some of New York’s biggest names and buildings; the World Trade Center, the Empire State Building, Trump, the MTA and the Port Authority are only a few of its long list of clients. |
SVPs Sheldon Gottlieb and Eric Haims (Jerry’s son) join him for a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the Big 4-0. Jerry tells us that his favorite part of the journey has been able to live through the various real estate cycles. “We’ve seen owners and developers come and go, but we’re still here,” he joked. When not working, he enjoys playing with his grandchildren—but it’s still too early to tell whether they’ll be the third generation working for the company. |
And their cheering squad: Sheldon's wife Arline Gottlieb; Jerry’s wife Endrea Haims; Train Babcock’s Pamela Raviol; Michel Raviol; and Eric’s wife Charlotte Haims. |
CommunEcon’s Michael Dirzulaitis, Wharton Property Advisors’Ruth Culp-Habor, and Newmark Knight Frank’s Arthur Draznin. Arthur was more than happy to endorse the firm. “They’re great people who produce great product,” he tells us. “I enjoy working with them.” And he also has some things to celebrate: one of his daughters recently became engaged, while the other got into the University of Michigan yesterday. (Congrats!) |
Jerry with City Center Real Estate’s Robert Shapiro; Podell Schwartz Schechter & Banfield’s Larry Marco; and Goldberg, Weprin & Ustin’s Arnold Mazel and Andy Albstein, who all wished him another 40 years in business. Us, too: Happy Birthday! |
