LAST NIGHT'S PANYNJ HONOR

New York
LAST NIGHT'S PANYNJ HONOR
We were at the Yale Club last night as Professional Women in Construction honored a vital part of our Downtown's rebuilding: the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, recognized for World Trade Center reconstruction efforts and contributions to women and minority-owned businesses .

STV's John Drygulski, Phoenix Constructors' Jack Gallagher, and Skanska USA's Michael Campana. Jack and Michael are working on the PATH transportation hub at the WTC. They're happy to tell us that excavation is almost complete, and they're ready to award steel packages.
LAST NIGHT'S PANYNJ HONOR
How about a package to these women of steel— literally! Global Marine Construction Supply's Yona Jiminez, Catherine DiMarco, and Linda Tromblay, with attendee Elizabeth Silverman, have worked on many structural steel projects, including the Willis Avenue Bridge, Pier 53, the gangway to the USS Intrepid, and the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge in New Haven, Conn.
LAST NIGHT'S PANYNJ HONOR
Port Authority's Laura Shabe, AECOM's Kevin Conway and Kate Coburn, and IBEX Construction's Bill Brody and Lisa Chapman. We hear IBEX is putting the finishing touches on a Nordstrom in Cherry Hill, NJ, which will have its grand opening this week. It's also doing work for Mount Sinai Medical Center. Any PANYNJ connection? Sure, it built the snazzy new JetBlue Terminal 5 at JFK.
LAST NIGHT'S PANYNJ HONOR
Louis Berger Group's Kelly Mitchell, Maribel Cabral, Jacqueline Alleyne, and Desiree Fraser flank Total Safety Consulting's William Ayers. Happy birthday to William's wife Jeanette today; although he had to be at this event, he did cook his family a rack of delicious spareribs before he left (his trick: marinating the meat in BBQ sauce for eight hours). We wonder if Jacqueline has time to cook—she has the tough task of WTC records and document management.
