LAST NIGHT'S LMCC DOWNTOWN DINNER
We braved pouring rain last night with 500 others for the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Downtown Dinner '09 at 7 World Trade Center, which honored real estate partners who generously donate downtown vacant office space to the LMCC's Residency Program for artists, writers, and performers. (More photos).

Trinity Church rector James Cooper with some honorees: Trinity Real Estate's Carl Weisbrod; Capstone Equities' Daniel Ghadamian; CBRE's Sheldon Cohen; Two Trees Management's Jane and David Walentas; Time Equities' Francis Greenburger; and Capstone's Steve n Grin. Also honored: JPMorgan Chase's Michael Ashworth; National Museum of the American Indian's John Haworth; NYC Commissioner of Culture Kate Levin; Silverstein's Janno Lieber; Rudin Management's Bill Rudin; Sciame Construction's Frank Sciame; and Two Trees' Jed Walentas.

Is real estate the next role for actor Philip Seymour Hoffman? Not quite, but he was on hand to support the LMCC, here with the council president Maggie Boepple. Other guests included Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, artists Christo and Jean-Claude (remember The Gates in Central Park?), and socialite Brooke Geahan.

CBRE's Mitch Rudin, Loeb & Loeb's Ray Sanseverino, honoree Carl Weisbrod, CBRE's Mary Ann Tighe, and Trinity Real Estate's Jason Pizer. Mary Ann also has lots to smile about—she was recently named CBRE's top-producing sales professional for '08, completing 5.6M SF of leasing and sales transactions, including Ogilvy & Mather's 20-year, 565k SF lease at 636 Eleventh Ave.

More CBRE folks! Bruce Surry and Kyle Schoppmann with honoree Sheldon Cohen, who heads up the firm's Downtown office. Bruce tells us that his new labradoodle puppy (a Labrador-poodle hybrid, for those not up on the lingo) Parker, looks remarkably similar to First Dog Bo Obama. We think he should strike a celebri-doggy impersonator deal.

Capstone Equities' Steve n Grin with honoree Daniel Ghadamian. They report that the firm is about to ink an 11k SF lease at 156 Williams Street, bringing it up to 90% occupancy. The building's redesigned lobby will also be completed in two weeks. LMCC has over 22k SF of donated swing space in the old bank vault of Capstone and The Carlyle Group's 14 Wall Street, which it uses as a center for the performing arts.

The Donaldson Organization's Doug Donaldson and Jerry Miller flank Gensler's Ken Lunstead, Gardiner & Theobold's Jonathan Andrew, and Ted Moudis Associates' Lucy Carter. Jerry tells us his firm is finishing up some drywall and ceiling work at the yet-to-be-finished-but-open Citi Field. He hasn't been to any games yet, and some argue the same for the Mets.
