LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY?
April 20, 2010
David Dubrow, partner at Arent Fox reminds us that going from virtually no activity to a little activity is still a long way from recovery. He'll let us know when to get excited at good news as he moderates the national multifamily panel this Thursday at our first-ever Multifamily Summit. |
Some of that good news: In the multifamily market, strong properties and sponsors are able to get loans, healthy locations are beginning to see transactions, and sales of distressed loans are beginning to occur. The biggest issue to keep an eye on over the next few months is the discussion and decision about the future of Fannie and Freddie. We should also watch whether the government takes additional actions to help revive the CMBS market and motivate banks to sell distressed mortgage loans in order to clean up their balance sheets. To hear more multifamily trends, join David, top experts from the national and NYC markets, and over 326 of your industry colleagues for some great discussion and schmoozing.Register here! |
