LUXURY MEETS LENOX
February 28, 2011
Uptown near another famous park (Central, that is), a pre-war multifamily building has gone up for sale for the first time indecades, having been owned by the same family for 65 years. The building—737 Park Avenue—was designed by noted architectSylvan Bien in 1940, and is located at the crest of Lenox Hill. (If you want an idea of who your neighbors are, it’s directly across the street from über-exclusive co-ops 720 and 740 Park Avenue.) And there’s plenty of room to move around, with the 103 apartments averaging more than 1,800 SF each. JLL’s Jonathan Caplan, Richard Baxter,Yoron Cohen, and Scott Latham are repping seller Katz 737 Corpon the sale, and say they expect the building to attract widespread interest from both local and global investors. |
