Last Night's Rooftop Fêtes

| What better way to spend a balmy August summer evening than on Manhattan rooftops with some of NYC's real estate associations? Last night, we joined NYCREW for some wine and cheese on top of a W. 55th St. condo building, where we snapped (back) chapter prez Sharon Khurdan, Justdan Realty's Karen Dome, Eurohypo AG's Jo Hastings, Trepp's Shari Linnick, (front) NYCREW director Karla Baig, Fidelity National Title's Isabelle Pullis, and LeFrak Org.'s Liz Muskat. The gals have been busy planning the rest of this year's events, which include a breakfast with Muriel Siebert & Co. CEO Muriel Siebert Aug. 11 (registration), a behavioral and non-verbal communication workshop in September, and an industry spotlight with Forest City Ratner Cos. EVP MaryAnne Gilmartin in October. |

| Studley's Allyson Bowen, member Nancy Wood, Colliers International's Margaret O'Keeffe, Commercial Mortgage Securities Association's Dottie Cunningham, KBS Realty Advisors' Sharon Kun, (seated) Sklar Realty Group's Lydia Sklar, Reimer Braunstein's Joan Parsons, LVM Group's Jeannette Boccini, and Reimer Braunstein's Jennifer Voci sit with the Liz-created spread (who said real estate's her only talent?) The group has plenty of exciting travel plans coming up. Lydia will be vacationing with a friend in Scottsdale, and Joan is already visiting the Big Apple from Boston. (Our Boston reporter recently profiled Joan, who's the new president of her city's CREW chapter, NEWIRE.) And Jennifer's going on a Baltic cruise—unfortunately, the closest we're getting to Stockholm this summer is the water taxi to Brooklyn's IKEA. |

| We then hopped over to Highbar to socialize with over 150 members of ICSC's Next Gen group (who were undoubtedly there to brag about handicaps prior to its joint charity golf classic Aug. 19 with The Retail Network). Among the crowd: Newmark Knight Frank Retail's Jason Maurer, Archstone's Lee Bloch, Grid Properties' Scott Auster, NKF Retail's Benjamin Birnbaum, Realty Insight Group's Chris Giacalone, and Rosen Associates' Nicholas Forelli. |

| And Next Gen's hardworking volunteers: Alan Kramer PC's Alan Kramer, Scott Auster, National Realty & Development's Dovid Spector, Ripco's Brad Cohen, Pryor Cashman's Andrea Gendel, Energy Kitchen's Brooke Auberry, Urstadt Biddle Properties'Joanna Rotonde, and Jimmy Jazz/Man Alive/SandD Stores' Jason Richter. There was plenty of deal talk too: Brooke tells us that Energy Kitchen, which just opened on 72nd and Broadway, is also expanding in Boston, Miami, DC, and Texas. Brad and colleague Patricia Garcia just helped Nike open up a pop-up store on 133rd and Frederick Douglass Blvd. in anticipation of the World Basketball Festival. And Urstadt Biddle Properties is fresh off of four shopping center acquisitions (including a general partnership interest in Scarsdale's Midway Shopping Center) and is ready to spend more, Joanna reports. |
