Cushman & Wakefield provided employees nationwide with a list of organizations through which they could make contributions to relief funds (including the American Red Cross and United Way) and created a temporary housing exchange program in which C&W employees offered temporary housing to those displaced and those still without power.

The Jones Lang LaSalle Charities fund, along with funds from the firm, will be directed to supporting its employees who’ve been affected by the storm. It has also expanded its employee matching funds program so that employees can donate additional funds to charitable organizations in affected areas. Additionally, employees are volunteering and helping co-workers, communities, and clients in the aftermath.

The Lightstone Group joined with the NYC Economic Development Corp to donate office space to business affected by Sandy. The firm is offering 11k SF of space in 1407 Broadway through a city program to let these businesses temporarily set up shop and get back online.

Rose Associates is providing rent abatements to tenants in Rose-owned buildings that were impacted by the storm. It’s also extending a 34-day rent credit to each of LeRivage’s 293 leaseholders, because it's a Zone-A building without electricity.

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children’s young professional committee is holding an after-party for the hospital’s annual tribute dinner Nov. 29 at Drom. 100% of the proceeds will go to the hospital’s Special Needs Fund to help families in need of relief and specialized medical equipment for their children (Details.)

TerraCRG and aptandlofts.com launched a fundraising effort in a partnership with United Way: http://www.NYCREUnited.com. Donations will be used by UW chapters to address near- and long-term hurricane recovery needs in communities that FEMA has declared disaster areas. Over $20k has been raised so far.
