MULTIFAMILY UNIT PRICES, SALES DOWN
Bisnow Multifamily Summit
Q4 was another seasonably weak one for the residential market, according to REBNY’s Q4 2011 residential sales report. Average home prices and sales citywide declined compared to the same time last year; however, 60% of the brokers surveyed are optimistic for 2012 and expect next quarter to be better than this one—that’s a 23% increase compared to Q3’s results. What buyers want: a doorman building, laundry in-unit, private storage space, and an on-site fitness center. You’ve heard the brokers, now hear the developers, investors, and financers at Bisnow’s annual Multifamily Summit on Feb. 17, featuring Metro Loft Management’s Nathan Berman, Massey Knakal’s Paul Massey, The Praedium Group’s Mason Sleeper, Stonehenge’s Richard Dansereau, Meridian Capital Group’s Ralph Herzka, Rockwood’s David Streicher, CBRE’s Paul Leibowitz, WeiserMazars’ Ron Lagnado, and Arent Fox’s David Dubrow.
