NYC BOOM ON HORIZON; THE DEAL SHEET
Look toDowntown Brooklyn and 125th for future growth, says NYC deputy mayor for economic development Bob Lieber, who spoke at a joint AREW-MBAofNY networking event at Haworth Showroom on Thursday. He also mentioned Coney Island, but we weren't sure if he meant growth in waist lines or real estate.

Despite the economy, Bob says the city is not going to give up its quality-of-life gains it experienced over the past few years. He adds we've only lost 180k of the 325k expected jobs, and the tourism, healthcare, and education sectors are actually growing. He urged attendees to fill out the Census because we've recaptured more than the 1M people we lost in the ‘80s, with an additional 1M population jump predicted by 2030.
