New Mt. Sinai Project
On Saturday night, we joined National Jewish Health for its annual winter dinner dance at the Grand Hyatt, where Roger and Lisa Silverstein (with her son Eli) presented their parents Klara and Larry with the National Jewish Health Humanitarian Award. Larry announced that he and Klara are donating $500k to NJH and that Mt. Sinai and NJH will announce plans this week to open a respiratory institute together.
Also at the Grand Hyatt last week for the Diabetes Research Institute's annual Empire Ball, we snapped C&W's Frank Freda; JAD CEO Dee Dussich (honored for distinguished service); former Jets, Bengals, and Cardinals QB and current CBS broadcaster Boomer Esiason (whose cystic fibrosis foundation Dee works with); and CodeGreen Solutions' Peter DiCapua. Also honored were Hines' Andrew Cooke, who manages Morgan Stanley's 8M SF, 50-property Americas portfolio, and Tishman Construction president Jay Badame.
