The AREW Charitable Fund’s 10th annual collection of wrapped gifts for children in Women In Need residences (donate here) had a record response, fulfilling the gift requests of 305 children. In addition to individual AREW members who served as Secret Santas, many companies stepped forth with double-digit requests. (Feels good to give—it's why Santa hasn't quit his job in a thousand years.)

Rock-and-roll and real estate combined at the Gibson Recording Studio for Friends of New York Real Estate’s 7th annual holiday gift drive, hosted by Lex Terrae’s Antinea Rivera (white jacket, with the Steve Marshall Band), Negawatt, Cassin & Cassin, Diaz Architects, DM&H, and Mortgage Bankers Association of NY. Rusty Paul, son of guitar legend Les Paul, presented the checks, which will buy toys for children affected by Hurricane Sandy. There was even a vocal appearance by Hunton & Williams' Carl Schwartz.
