REVIS GUARANTEES JETS WIN MONDAY
October 14, 2011
The Jets' Darrelle Revis says the Dolphins will lose Week 6, though we concede there may be a little crowd-pleasing going on here, considering the through-and-through New Yorkers listening to the cornerback's Q&A. (Note from editor as he raises his NY Jets Hulk-hand cup holder: In Rex we trust!) |
What does that have to do with CRE? Well, vacant space falls under the Bisnow domain, and Darrelle just happened to be answering such questions in the vacant 11th floor of 14 Wall, which CBRE is leasing for Capstone Equities. (He says the hardest receiver to guard is the 5-0 Lions' Calvin Johnson.) "We need to get some wins," Darelle says (referring no doubt to the NY leasing market). Joining him: CBRE's Rob Hill, Zak Snider, Evan Haskell, and Brad Gerla, Capstone managing principal Josh Zamir, CBRE's Jon Cope andHoward Fiddle, and Capstone's Daniel Ghadamian. |
There's no need for us to point out that these folks were of course waiting in line to speak with CBRE leasing team leader Brad, not Darrelle and the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets cheerleaders (the Flight Crew). Brad says 100k SF of contiguous space is available on the 11th, 12th, and 14th floors, plus 70k SF total on the 19th and 21st floors. Nine-foot ceilings throughout are unusual for a pre-warbuilding, he adds. |
The building also has an Equinox, a conference center, and a TJ Maxx on the way. Capstone general counsel Jonathan Scheinberg, center, tells us he worked on the lease for the 35k SF store, which may open as soon as this fall. Daniel says Capstone also has 100k SF available at 156 William and 50k SF at the 95% occupied 4 New York Plaza. Jonathan is with attorney Jim Scalise and Colliers' Rob Corbi. |
Synergy Realty prez Joan Fields (with Federico Investment CEO and diamond expert John Lee, UBS's Andrew Kahner, and JDF Realty'sRyan Abramow) tells us she's closed a lot of leases for tech anddigital ad firms lately, such as MediaPost at 15 E 32nd St. Ryan says he reps a cooking school that wants to upgrade and is looking for new space. |
How's this for three months out of college? Hunter Berman justgraduated from Emory and landed a job at Newmark Knight Frank, and now he's shaking hands with Darrelle Revis. |
