STUDIOS CEO Todd tells us he's seeing leading companies taking advantage of the downturn to maximize their real estate assets. Developers are repositioning or renovating properties to make them more attractive to potential tenants, while STUDIOS's commercial clients are redesigning office spaces to maximize density and therefore efficiency of their leases. |

The trend: destination dispatch elevators, which everyone who joined us at Eleven Times Square rode that morning. Punch in a number, and the display tells you which elevator to grab. This type of elevator gives you 30% more efficiency during peak periods, he says. |

They recently joined CBRE's “Wheel Program,†a learning and development rotational program that gives new recruits a taste of different services lines. They tell us that they started in research and will experience four service lines (including brokerage and investment sales) over the next year and a half. |

Tom tells us that ConEdison Solutions, which sponsored the event, recently launched VPower, a proprietary software platform that optimizes a customer's energy usage and onsite generation across buildings and energy resources. Customers with VPower then become a virtual generator, selling back energy, ancillary services, and capacity to the market. (Call it demand response on steroids.) |
