SL GREEN DOES GREAT WHITE WAY
August 25, 2011
SL Green has just snapped up 1552 Broadway in a JV with Wharton Acquisitions for $137M (or the price of two orchestra seats to Les Mis). |
The 15k SF landmark retail building (aka the I. Miller Building) was owned by The Riese Org and is a shuffle, tap, and jazz hand away from SL Green’s 1515 Broadway. In addition to a four-story TGI Friday’s (that blue flash must be Superman flying in for some Jack Daniel's ribs), the property features two prominent billboards and approval for a third. JLL power team Jon Caplan, Richard Baxter,Ron Cohen, and Scott Latham brokered the sale. You’ll have an opportunity to hear from SL Green chief investment officer Isaac Zion at Bisnow’s third-annual New York Real Estate Summit Sept. 22 at Eleven Times Square. He joins an elite group of panelists and moderators: George Comfort & Sons CEO Peter Duncan, Harbor Group International chairman Jordan Slone, AIG Asset Management head of originations Michael Medvin, Katten Muchin Rosenman partner Andrew Jagoda, and Royal Abstract prez Martin Kravet.
