SNOW BUSINESS
March 2, 2010
Amid the flurry of industry event cancellations and closing offices last Thursday, the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York donned their boots, shoveled the sidewalk, and held a seminar focusing on how bankruptcy will affect troubled commercial real estate loans this time around. Latham & Watkins’ Joshua Stein, chair of the chapter’s educational committee, moderated, while two leading NYC bankruptcy lawyers, Loeb & Loeb’s Greg Schwed and Latham & Watkins’ Mark Broude, talked about new issues bankers need to know about and how courts will respond to single-asset real estate cases and deal with commercial real estate going forward. |
