SPOTLIGHT ON LACREA

| Say hito the industry’s newest association: the Latino American Commercial Real Estate Association (LACREA), which recently held its inaugural event with 60 attendees at Steelcase’s 4 Columbus Circle showroom. Above are the founders and board members of the group, which is focused on building relationships among Latino real estate professionals: Spacesmith’s Ambar Margarida, Cassidy Turley’s Joel Sosa, RC Technology’s Jorge Calle, M Moser Associates’ Paola Nanetti, CBRE’s Daniel Rodriguez Sains, Cassidy Turley’s Susan Martinez, and Metro Data Corp’s Juan Hernandez. |

| Paola tells us that the group started talking a year ago and they realized there was no voice for the Hispanic community in CRE to provide an educational and social platform for networking and creating new opportunities. In the long-term, she says, LACREA would like to establish itself not only as a professional networking association but one focused on community service and mentoring, and it's already been aligning itself with groups like the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
