| Bet you didn’t know Bisnow could split itself in half. We also attended the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York’s luncheon at the National Arts Club, keynoted by NYS Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos. He called for checks and balances within the NYS government, noting that the Dems in top seats have lead to no growth and chaos, including a lack of leadership from Gov. Paterson. His opinion is that the state is going in the wrong direction and we’ve lost 2M people because of it: "the people voted with their feet and left." |

He notes concern over a restructuring by Sheldon Silver—"we will be eliminated from winning majority," and urged the audience to help vote the Republicans back, noting that it’s only one vote away from stopping legislation that would hurt the real estate industry. |
