Sneak Peek At Brookfield Place Transit Entrance
The renderings have come to life. On Friday, we snapped this exclusive photo of Brookfield Place's West Pavilion, the starting point of the World Trade Center West Concourse, which opens today. It leads to the temporary PATH stop on Vesey Street to the Calatrava-designed PATH station (taking shape on the other side of the WTC site in our photo) to the Fulton Center PATH stop. What that means is that for the first time since 9/11, pedestrians can walk directly from Brookfield Place (then known as World Financial Center) to the WTC. The bridge over West Street, meanwhile, is coming down.
