Look who we ran into among the 400 attendees at our first ever Bisnow Annual Student Housing conference (BASH) last week: JLL managing director Jack Tenanty (right, with Rittenhouse Realtor Advisors' Mark Duszak). JLL is handling the $900M renovation of Madison Square Garden, heading into its third and final summer now that the Knicks and Rangers have yielded the floor. They've already done structural improvements and new concourses, broadcast studio, locker rooms, seats, and sound system. This summer will bring a new scoreboard, 78 new suites, and a party deck. Jack also tells us JLL did the planning and feasibility analysis for the College of New Jersey, which hopes to keep youngsters in the area (rather than losing them to Princeton) by adding student housing, retail, and entertainment on campus.
