CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT Phoenix Development Partners is in the planning stages for a 200k SF, 220-unit luxury apartment building at 50-01 2nd St, Long Island City. The project is scheduled for fall 2013 completion. BUSINESS The Lightstone Group launched Phoenix Development Partners, a new residential development firm focused on developing larger-scale rental housing in the metro NY market. Bill Scully, formerly of Cerberus Real Estate Capital Management, will oversee the division. Also joining the firm are Kasra Sanandaji (Stellar Management),Peter Rosenberg (Stellar Management, Rockrose), and Donna Brandin (Equity Residential Properties). EXECUTIVE MOVES Mike Doestsch joined CBC Hunter Realty as senior managing director, working with national companies and participating in the firm's distressed asset division and REO work. He was previously with Williamson, Picket & Gross and is a Trinity College grad. *** Joseph Piraino joined HKS Capital Partners as loan underwriter and originator, responsible for securing debt financing for CRE in all asset classes across NY, NJ, and Connecticut.
