THE MOST IMPORTANT INFRASTRUCTURE
Vartan and Clare Gregorian
Each day, the real estate industry focuses on infrastructure—but we shouldn’t forget about human infrastructure and that each child is an investment for the futur e, says Carnegie Corporation of New York president Vartan Gregorian, who along with wife Clare is being honored by our friends at the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York at the MoMA next Tuesday evening. Vartan tells us they first became involved with CCC (founded 68 years ago by Eleanor Roosevelt) when they came to NY in 1981 and Clare became an administrative assistant at the non-profit. “It became very dear to us, especially Clare,” he says. CCC’s mission is to support policy, legislation, and public investments that ensure every child’s birthright to be healthy, housed, educated, and safe. Join Vartan, Clare, and members of the real estate, legal, and financial industries to benefit CCC with a cocktail reception, private viewings of the exhibition “Cindy Sherman” and “Contemporary Galleries 1980 – Now” and a silent auction featuring works by Hans Hofmann, Man Ray, and Jennifer Bartlett. Tickets can be purchased here or make a gift directly to CCC.
