THINKING GREEN?
October 4, 2011
Now's the perfect time to go green. That's what we hear from Dave Pospisil, ConEd manager of commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs, who's speaking at Bisnow's New York Construction & Development event coming up Nov. 2 at the NY Bar Association. |
Owners who've complied with the city's Greener, Greater Buildings Plan have been through the first round of benchmarking, and the scores will soon be publicly available. This will allow tenants to shop for energy efficiency, a task that once took a lot of time and research, Dave says. (Now you have a supermarket of energy efficiency.) Capital is freeing up, allowing owners to invest more money in making their properties more energy efficient. And between federal, state, and utility companies, there are substantial incentives to subsidize these upgrades—in fact, ConEd has $100Mworth of rebates earmarked for electrical and gas system upgrades. To hear more, join Dave, New York Building Congress prez Richard Anderson, and Tarter Krinsky & Drogin's David Pfeffer. Great schmoozing, too! Sign up here! |
