TOUGH, BUT NOT INSURMOUNTABLE

The Appraisal Institute NY Metro chapter also held a luncheon at 101 Park, keynoted by NYC Economic Development Corp.'s Tokumbo Shobowale (with chapter prez Matt Mondanile of Cushman & Wakefield). Despite the economy, NYC has good news: its highest bond rating in 80 years; new stadiums; revitalization of one-sixth of City land areas; and, planning/progress on large-scale projects. But, most of all, he stressed the City's resiliency, saying "things are tough but not insurmountable." He also discussed initiatives such as the Capital Access Program and Mayor Mike's five-borough Economic Opportunity Plan. (More photos) |
