TWO BIG TOWERS UNVEILED
Yesterday, Extell Development unveiled yet another new office tower for the far West Side—the 56-story, 1.7M SF One Hudson Yards, occupying the entire eastern blockfront of Eleventh Avenue between West 33rd and 34th.
One Hudson Yards
Here’s the Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed building, to be built on the ground versus over the railroad tracks. (No timeline yet, though Extell prez Gary Barnett says this lowers construction costs and delivery time.) The tower (aiming for LEED cert) will open onto a new four-acre public park and right behind the entrance to the new 7 Line station. (Play a quick game of ultimate Frisbee at lunch and take the subway home for a quick shower before going back to work.) JLL’s Derek Trulson, Frank Doyle, and Randy Abend will head leasing.

Here's Gary back in February. Also in the works for Extell: the 90-story, mixed-use One57 development across from Carnegie Hall (92 luxury condos and a Park Hyatt flagship); the 54-story, four-star Hyatt Times Square; the International Gem Tower (290k SF of office), nearing completion at 55 W 46th; and The Carlton House, the conversion of 680 Madison Ave’s former Helmsley Carlton Hotel into luxury residences and retail.
