TWO BIG APPLE BUILDINGS NAB TOBYS

Congrats to the management teams at Monday Properties’ 230 Park Ave and MetLife’s 575 Fifth Ave for winning the BOMA Middle Atlantic Conference Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award for 2011-2012. The two buildings are now entered into the BOMA International competition, which will announce its winners June 26. 230 Park Avenue (its management team above) moves forward for the Operating Office Building (>1M SF) category. The 1.4M SF building is NYC's first and oldest building to achieve Energy Star,BOMA 360, and LEED-EB Gold, made possible by a six-year, $70M renovation. |
And 575 Fifth (its management team, including Cushman & Wakefield, above) moves forward for the Corporate Facility category. It also underwent an ambitious renovation to accommodate anchor tenant L’Oreal’s present and future needs while repositioning the building into an Energy Star tower. Both buildings had previously won 2010-2011 BOMA/NY Pinnacle Awards in the local competition. |
