Yesterday, hundreds of construction workers and principals of owner/developer Related Cos. and construction manager Tishman Construction Corp. celebrated the topping out of 440 W. 42nd St., a new $800M, 60-story, mixed-use complex. The Arquitectonica and Ismael Leyva Architects-designed building will contain more than 800 units of rental and for-sale residences, including 163 affordable units, and Manhattan's first Yotel hotel. It will also house a Frank Gehry-designed off-Broadway theater complex. The 1.2M SF project is pursuing LEED Silver. |
