YESTERDAY IN YONKERS
April 27, 2011

Thank goodness no shovels were lost in Yonkers—plenty were on hand for yesterday’s groundbreaking of the $32M, 12-story 49 North Broadway, a much-needed affordable housing development with 92 units. Warburton Riverview Owners, a JV between L+M Development Partners and Greyston Foundation, is developing the project in partnership with Yonkers IDA and the City of Yonkers, with an expected ’13 completion. This is Warburton’s second of four investments in Yonkers, including a 137-unit affordable rental property that will be completed this quarter, restoration of historic buildings along Warburton Ave, and another affordable housing development on Ravine Ave. Pictured: L+M’s Jonathan Cortell, Yonkers IDA’sEllen Lynch, Yonkers city councilmembers Wilson Terrero andPatricia McDow; Yonkers Mayor Philip Amicone; Westchester County exec Robert Astorino; BoA Merrill Lynch’s Jonathan Springer; Greyston’s Steven Brown; Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group’s Rachel Diller; L+M’s Ron Moelis; and NYS HCR’s Gregory Watson. |
