A new rendering by VisualHouse shows what Midtown will look like in just 15 years, after all the supertall residential towers now in the pipeline are finished and open. That barely discernible blip in the middle? That’s the Empire State Building, which by then will be shorter than at least four buildings in the city. The rendering might be the most realistic yet to capture the changing face of Midtown—but who’s to say more megatowers won’t be planned between now and 2030? [CNY]
