Creating Community Beyond The Office Environment
The office market and workplace design revolution continues its astounding momentum. The new thinking: Create a sense of community not just within the work environment but within the entire office building. Cushman & Wakefield executive vice chairman Josh Kuriloff explains that now that traditional work hours have shifted, lobby hours and amenities should shift too. Food courts (of the healthy, organic kind) should think beyond weekdays 9-5, and the classic newsstand is old news, except for offering the healthy snacks and gear Millennials crave. The lobby should not just be a foyer, but become an energized space, pulsating with WiFi, and nature should find its way inside, with an aesthetically pleasing number of plants and trees. A good example of how it's done, Josh suggests, is Brookfield Place. For more info on our Bisnow partner, Cushman & Wakefield, click here.
