Former Elliman Power Broker Sues Over Commissions
Former Douglas Elliman power broker Brian Meier has accused the firm of withholding $1.35M in commission payments after he left for the Corcoran Group. At the time of Meier's departure, he had 56 pending deals valued at more than $50M. According to the terms of his agreement, Elliman would hand over Meier's 70% commission when the deals closed, The Real Deal reports. The suit claims that since Meier and eight members of his team left Elliman for Corcoran last month, 14 sales valued at $10.5M have closed. Additionally, Meier is seeking $3M in punitive damages.
