Jeff Winick Owes New York $1.2M In Outstanding Taxes
The CEO of Winick Realty Group owes $1.2M in state taxes, a bill that has put him at No. 70 on the state’s public list of top tax debtors.
Last month, Jeff Winick, who runs one of the biggest retail brokerages in the city, was featured on the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance’s list of the 250 people who owe the most taxes, Commercial Observer reports.
He owed $638K in November 2015, which he did not pay, and sums of $331K and $196K from last year that remain outstanding, according to the state. Winick runs his firm with his daughter Danielle. Recently, he represented SL Green and the Moinian Group in the deal for Nordstrom to take 40K SF at 3 Columbus Circle.
This week, he represented landlord Walter & Samuels’ in a deal for Taco Bell Cantina to take 2K SF for its first New York City store at 500 Eighth Ave. Last year, he represented WeWork when the coworking giant inked 250K SF in the Garment District at 500-512 Seventh Ave.
