ULI Names Marty Burger NY Chairman
The Urban Land Institute has named Silverstein Properties CEO Marty Burger as its New York chairman.
The appointment will take effect July 1, at which point Marty be handed the reins by Robert Lieber, who has led ULI New York since July 2013.
Marty’s been a ULI member since 1995 and has served on ULI New York’s advisory board since 2014.
“As one of the savviest, most creative and talented executives in real estate, Marty Burger is a terrific choice to be the new chairman of ULI New York,” New York City deputy mayor Alicia Glen said in a statement.
Marty has been CEO of Silverstein Properties since 2014, and joined the firm in 2010.
Prior to that he was president and CEO of Artisan Real Estate Ventures, which he founded in 2006. Before that, he was a VP at Related Cos.
