ConEd Puts Williamsburg Waterfront Development Site Up For Sale
ConEd’s bringing a 2.65-acre, 231k BSF waterfront development site in Williamsburg to the market.
The site, 500 Kent Ave, has 648 feet of frontage along Kent and Division avenues and sits on an M3-1 zoning designation, making it prime for commercial use. It can also be upzoned, bringing its development potential as high as 576k SF.
Located near the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the Tech Triangle, the site can be accessed by the East River ferry or the J, M and Z subway lines. Cushman & Wakefield’s Brendan Maddigan, Stephen Palmese and Andrew Behymer are marketing the land for sale.
South Williamsburg’s experiencing a “a tech- and industry-focused development boom,” Brendan says, pointing to the Steiner Studios’ expansion, the Navy Yard, Dock 72 and the Green Manufacturing Building.
And with the land market frozen and less than 2% of NYC left as raw land, Stephen says the chance to acquire several acres of Brooklyn waterfront is "infrequent," to put it mildly.
