Colliers Hires Cresa's Marcus Rayner As Brokerage Vice Chairman
Colliers International, in a bid to take a bigger chunk out of New York's commercial real estate market, has taken a big fish away from tenant rep firm Cresa.
Marcus Rayner (seen here with CBRE’s Mary Ann Tighe) will become Colliers' new vice chairman of brokerage services. He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and has completed more than 9M SF of NYC transactions, with a client list that includes Amazon, Bloomberg, Gilt Groupe, MongoDB, Oracle, NBC Universal and Guardian Life.
Marcus began his career in the UK as a chartered surveyor for Weatherall Green & Smith (now BNP Paribas Real Estate). After moving to the US in 1987, he managed the firm’s US business before it merged with Cresa in 2001. From 2001 to 2014, Marcus served as managing principal for Cresa.
Marcus is an active member and leader of Cornet Global, was a member of REBNY’s Commercial Board of Directors and is the New York Chapter Board Advisor for Global Issues Advocacy Group. He will work out of the firm’s Midtown office.
