C&W Office Leasing Team Jumps Ship To JLL
Just days after nabbing two of NYC’s top investment sales brokers from Eastdil Secured, Cushman & Wakefield has lost a NYC office leasing team to JLL.
Executive director Owen Hane, EVP Don Preate (right, with Rhulens real estate adviser Sloane Rhulen) and EVP Frank Coco repped the likes of DNB Bank (with its 45k SF lease at 30 Hudson Yards), LBi, Media IQ Digital, Giorgio Armani, Tory Burch and Ermenegildo Zegna, The Real Deal reports.
Serving under JLL NYC brokerage executive managing director Phil Palmer, the trio will be executive managing directors and continue to rep tenants and provide leasing services.
All three have worked in the NYC market for more than 30 years, with Frank joining C&W in 1984, Preate in 1994 and Hane in 1997.
This is the second time JLL has poached a top C&W office leasing team in NYC. In 2011, the firm had Mitchell Konsker, Paul Glickman, Matthew Astrachan, Mitti Liebersohn and Alexander Chudnoff join its ranks. Not only have these brokers consistently been JLL’s top producers, but they helped JLL lease 10.6M SF of deals in 2014. C&W ranked fourth with 9.3M SF. [TRD]
