How Eastdil Secured Plans To Recover From Loss Of Douglas Harmon, Adam Spies
Eastdil Secured suffered a big loss to its NYC operations when the top investment sales team in the city, Douglas Harmon and Adam Spies, left for Cushman & Wakefield in the fall. Now, it's structuring its comeback.
Senior managing director David Lazarus (pictured above in 2009) will co-lead Eastdil's NYC office with fellow senior managing director Jeffrey Scott, who's departing Eastdil's DC office, the Commercial Observer reports. Evan Layne, who had been based in London, will become a NYC-based managing director as part of the reshuffling.
Lazarus joined Eastdil Secured in 2011 after founding EdgeRock Realty in 2009.
It's been a big year for broker movement, and none of the moves were bigger than Harmon and Spies' defection to C&W. Not far behind that move was JLL's top investment sales team of Richard Baxter, Yoron Cohen and Scott Latham going to Colliers International. [CO]
