JLL Loses Top Investment Sales Team To Colliers
2016 seems to be the year of NYC heavy hitters jumping ship.
JLL investment sales brokers Richard Baxter, Yoron Cohen and Scott Latham are moving to Colliers International.
The three helped JLL reach fifth place on The Real Deal’s ranking of investment sales brokerages, with $2.9B in closed deals in 2015, and closed several impressive deals this year. Yoron, for example, repped the Olayan Group in its $1.4B acquisition of the Sony Building (pictured).
The three made a very similar move before, jumping ship to JLL from Cushman & Wakefield in 2010. Their departure severely hindered C&W, which then had to acquire Massey Knakal and hire Eastdil Secured’s Doug Harmon and Adam Spies, NYC’s top brokers by deal volume, just to get back to its previous market share, according to The Real Deal.
The fourth member of that move, Jon Caplan, is also leaving JLL to explore other opportunities.
Scott, Richard, Yoron and Jon were handling the marketing of Bauhouse’s court-ordered sale of 3 Sutton Place. It’s unknown who will take over this venture or if they'll take it with them to Colliers.
