Holy heck on a pogo stick, it's Thanksgiving already. That means it's time to overeat with awkward relatives, pretend US relations with the Native Americas went totally fine, and put on our battle armor and war paint for those sweet, sweet Black Friday deals. It's also time to give thanks, if you're one of those sentimental folks.
We at Bisnow are thankful for a lot of things (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nutella, the musical stylings of Phil Collins), but we reached out to some big NYC real estate names to get a sense of what they're thankful for.

"I'm thankful for my family. They're the most important people in the world to me. I'm also thankful to the men and women of the construction trades, who work every day, rain and shine, to rebuild the World Trade Center with me."

"Thanksgiving's a time for reflection, and I have much to be thankful for, both professionally and personally. First and foremost, I’m thankful for my family for their unwavering love and support. I'm thankful for my colleagues at Cushman & Wakefield and the clients I represent in the marketplace.
I'm thankful to live in a country that prides itself on free and fair elections and where the voice of every citizen has the opportunity to be heard. I'm thankful for the men and women that serve in all branches of the United States military. It’s because of this small faction of volunteers that we're able to live in freedom and enjoy the great liberties this country provides its citizens.
Finally, I'm thankful for the friendships I've made in my work with organizations like the Intrepid, Sea, Air & Space Museum, the Business Executives for National Security, Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families, the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, the Police Athletic League and the Navy Seals Museum."

"This Thanksgiving, my sentiments are how lucky we all are for living in the greatest city and country in the world. Even when it's bad, it's good, and when it's good, it's great! To always have options and have something to look forward to; to wake up each day, to tackle it again; that makes life grand, and we should all be so thankful."

"I have many things to be thankful for, notably my wonderful wife and children, and the ability to live in this great country. On the business side, I'm thankful for the amazing team of brokers we've assembled, whose knowledge of the city and real estate investors is truly second to none. Many people know GFI Realty as a commercial shop that can handle all aspects of real estate advisory, but what truly makes us unique is the collaborative culture we've established. Our group of brokers is one of the most diverse in the city, yet the chemistry and goodwill across our team is unparalleled. Half of our leading producers have been with the firm for more than 10 years, and it's this ideal, collaborative working environment that helps us retain our talent so well."
