REBNY Names Bill Rudin As Its Next Chairman
The Real Estate Board of New York has voted unanimously to elect Bill Rudin as its next chairman.
Rudin, the CEO of Rudin Management, will succeed Tishman Speyer President and CEO Rob Speyer at the end of 2017, concluding Speyer's three-year term. Rudin will take over for his three-year term on Jan. 1, 2018.
Speyer led REBNY's involvement in the crafting of the Affordable New York Housing program, and will turn over his role to Rudin, who has been a REBNY member for 30 years and a member of its executive committee since 1991.
“This is a tremendous honor and responsibility, and I look forward to working with REBNY to represent the real estate industry in New York City,” Rudin said in a statement. “Service to our city and industry is paramount to me and my family, and taking on this role next year is a natural extension of that dedication. Rob Speyer has set the bar high for the REBNY Chairmanship, and I am grateful to the Nominating Committee and the Board of Governors for their trust and confidence in me.”
