Thor Equities CEO Joe Sitt: Donald Trump Isn't A President, He's A King
One of Donald Trump’s earliest supporters, Thor Equities CEO Joe Sitt, is confident the president-elect can deliver on his promises.
Speaking with Bloomberg’s Betty Liu, Joe disagreed with Starwood Capital CEO Barry Sternlicht, who said there’s simply not enough skilled labor to do all the promised infrastructure improvements. Joe not only believed Trump could do it, he had to.
“We have to make up for lost time,” Joe said, feeling the US wasted “one of the greatest opportunities in American history to fix all our infrastructure and bring us up to speed,” otherwise known as the Great Recession.
If anything, Joe stated, we should be encouraging Trump’s focus on job growth, not telling him to slow down. The Republican-controlled Congress certainly won’t bottleneck him like it did Obama.
“We don’t have a president, we have a king,” Joe said.
He’s even confident Trump can “act logical and presidential,” backing off from confrontational issues like a wall on the Mexican border. Thor is one of the largest developers in that country, so Joe supports Trump abandoning his signature campaign promise.
Even if Trump does stray, Joe’s confident the president-elect’s children and son-in-law Jared Kushner can keep him in line.
“Jared won the election for Trump with his modern, statistical, algorithmic approach,” Joe said. “He’s the key to keeping balance and keeping Trump young, relevant and connected to Silicon Valley. He’s a tremendous beneficiary to Trump and the US.” [Bloomberg]
