Brooklyn Hospital Center Sells Building for Expansion
The Brooklyn Hospital Center has plans to sell its medical building at 140 Willoughby St and use the money to build a new facility where its parking lot now sits. The plan is to build a 155k SF abulatory care center with medical office space and labs on the corner of DeKalb Avenue and Ashland Place in Fort Greene. According to DNAinfo, Long Island University, which has property adjacent to the site, could be a partner in the new venture. Just what’ll happen with the building sale, how much it’ll fetch, and what the parking lot might become hasn’t been announced. [DNAinfo]
