Woods Bagot Goes Large Scale
Woods Bagot New York founding principal Jeffrey Holmes (right, with development director Eric Spencer) says the global architectural design firm is taking on complex, large-scale urban projects. The studio began with three people in 2008 (yep, a thorny year to start a branch) and has over 50 people working on almost 4M SF of lifestyle and workplace projects in New York and around the world. These include the interiors of the five-star Baccarat Hotel on 53rd Street, creation of a boutique destination experience at Brooklyn Heights’ historically significant Hotel Bossert (a perfect spot for the Nets’ championship party in 2015?), and a 34-story mixed-use resi building that will revitalize Brooklyn’s Jay Street.
