Dumbo Building's Kushner-esque Transformation
The ground floor of a waterfront loft conversion at 135 Plymouth St (above) in Dumbo is looking for a new tenant, reports the NY Daily News. Inspired by developments like Jared Kushner’s Watchtower office hub and the nearby Empire Stores project, the owners of the 28k SF former paper recycling facility are taking advantage of the neighborhood transformation—and rising property values—offering the “industrial chic” space as a potential restaurant, office or retail space. Of course it’s going to need a lot of work, but Cushman & Wakefield broker Benjamin Fox thinks the space’s high ceilings and skylights will be a draw. (If you love Bushwick but hate boppin' your head on the ceiling tiles.) Rent will be determined based on the kind of improvements needed for the new tenant.
