JPMorgan Lease Powers Hudson Yards Project
JPMorgan Chase has taken a full floor in Brookfield Property Partners’ stunning tower at 450 W 33rd St, a property now under renovation that will anchor a mixed-use campus planned for the Hudson Yards, The Real Deal reported.
The bank inked a 10-year deal for roughly 123k SF on the tower’s ninth floor shortly after it pulled the plug on plans for a $6.5B HQ on Manhattan’s Far West Side. The lease gives a big boost to Brookfield’s $200M overhaul of the 16-story building--dubbed 5 Manhattan West and slated for completion in 2018--and bodes well for the larger campus project. JPMorgan will be a couple of floors beneath digital advertising firm R/GA Media Group Inc., which signed the first lease in August. Cushman & Wakefield’s Josh Kuriloff led the team that repped the landlord.
