A Fresh New Look at Queens Plaza South
The 45-story tower being constructed at 23-10 Queens Plaza South is quickly approaching 30 stories, and new renderings have been released on the developer's website. Property Markets Group's 337,096 SF tower will stand 481 feet tall, with 391 apartments spanning 306,446 SF. That's an average of 791 SF/unit. The building will also have 30,650 SF of commercial space, although it's unclear whether that will be retail or offices. Even though the building will be right near subways at Queensboro Plaza and Court Square, and the R9 zoning waives parking requirements for a tower of this height, PMG is building 195 stalls on the second level. The 100% market rate building will also receive a 15-year 421-a tax abatement. SLCE Architects is designing. PMG is also working on Queens Plaza Park, a building slated to become the tallest NYC building outside of Manhattan. [NYY]
